Our Approach

Our mission is to channel ideas, investment and action into supporting Ferguslie Park reach it’s full potential.

We manage a community hub with seven commercial leaseholders providing essential services to the local community (doctors surgery, NHS clinic, pharmacy, nursery, library, housing association offices and a post office), this allows us to provide access to a range of community spaces at a heavily subsidised rate.

Over the past year we have delivered more activities directly in order to fill gaps in service delivery and address the needs and aspirations locally.

This includes:

• Working with a number of local partners to set up a club for young people every Monday night.
• Establishing a learning kitchen within our community café in order to provide volunteering and paid training opportunities to local people.
• Providing assistance to Ferguslie Seniors so they can become a constituted group.
• Managing a number of arts events and festivals in support of Paisley's cultural regeneration.
• Supporting local people come together to form Self Reliant Groups as a form of self employment.

We are also currently reviewing how we can do more to provide paid trainee placements to local people.
