Our governance

The Tannahill Centre is a charity registered in Scotland (SC041487) and a subsidiary company (SC297320) of Ferguslie Park Housing Association(FPHA).  Together we form the Ferguslie Group and we work together to realise our shared core purpose to see Ferguslie Park reach its full potential and to work with partners to channel ideas, action and investment into Ferguslie Park.

FPHA appoints the six members of our Executive Committee on an annual basis.  Three of whom are members of FPHA’s Board of Directors and the remaining three are independent community members – one of whom also acs as the independent chair of our Executive Committee.

We have both an Intergroup Agreement and a Shared Services Agreement outlining the strict governance framework and communication protocols as well as the services and resources shared by both organisations.

Whilst a small organisation this enables the Tannahill Centre to expand its skills, knowledge, experience and governance standards the advice and input of the Group Chief Executive, Finance Team , Asset maintenance specialist and FPHA’s team of external advisors.

The Tannahill Centre also benefits from being FPHA’s vehicle for the groups wider role/ community regeneration activities.  Community Benefit clauses within FPHA’s recent procurement exercises have enabled NTC to deliver classes, workshops and improvements to the Community spaces within the Centre.
